About Phil's Driving School
Phil's Driving School has been serving the greater New Haven area since 1948. We are committed to road safety and strive to ensure that our graduates learn to be courteous and prepared while operating motor vehicles. We are dedicated to the education of safety conscious and courteous drivers in Connecticut.
With experience and patience, we prepare our student drivers for the Connecticut Permit Knowledge Exam and Behind the Wheel Road Skills Test. Our extensive training programs familiarize first-time drivers with typical road traffic situations, and provide them with rigorous safety instructions to prepare them for a possible emergency.
Our Teachers
Our friendly and professional staff is available to you Monday through Friday.
Our driving instructors are patient, friendly, and highly skilled professionals.
We also have instructors answering the phones on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Our Cars
We run a fleet of modern, easy to drive cars.
Our Curriculum
We use AAA's How to Drive Curriculum, which was developed by Traffic Safety Experts in the field of Driver Education.
We also supplement AAA's Curriculum with our own material that was developed by Casey Hubelbank, who has a Master's Degree from Southern Connecticut State University in Health and Safety Education and holds his Professional Certificate in Driver Education through the Connecticut Department of Education.
